We’re also only 35 minutes from the city center of Philadelphia, so whether you’re going there for a day excursion or are escaping the bustle of the metropolis for a quiet country weekend getaway, the days won’t be long enough to see everything the Brandywine Valley has to offer.
The Brandywine Valley is home to world-class museums, lavish "American castles", formal and natural gardens and several unique events. . You won't find a hotel in the Brandywine Valley with a location so near the area's top attractions. We are right across the street from the Brandywine River Museum (Wyeth Museum), just minutes from the Brandywine Battlefield Park and a very short drive from Longwood Gardens.

Where the Dupont story begins, Located along 235 acres along the banks of the Bransywine. View the Powder Yard where
Dupont made the original black powder. Workers Hill is a completely restored Workers Community showing how the children were taught before schools.

PA's largest winery open all year long. You need to go and sample the wine and chocolate parings they offer. Great weekend activities, with music, food trucks and a lot of laughter.

Founded by Henry Francis Dupont Winterthur is the premier museum of American decorative arts, reflecting both early America and the Duponts family life here. It's 60 acres are among the country's beach. It's research library serves scholars from around the world.

Drive thru the 50 acres of rolling park and woodlands, see the weapons, uniforms and artifacts actually found on the battlefield.
Hours of Operation: Open Wed- Sat 9-4pm, Sun 12-4pm
Renowned for its holdings of the Wyeth Family of artists. The museum features dedicated to the work of N.C. Wyeth, Andrew Wyeth and Jamie Wyeth. The museum's outstanding Heritage Collection is a cross section of American Art that you can stare at for hours.

1,077 acres of gardens, woodlands and meadows in Kennett Square, PA. Their main fountain garden will dazzle guests with it's grand allies, hand carved limestone, and more than 1,700 fountain jets and streams. The variations of flowers is amazing.
